Puutarhatytön kynnet ovat mustat ja posket hehkuvat kuin vastapoimitut syysomenat. Nyt laitetaan paikat talveksi kuntoon, leikataan puskat ja kukat maan tasalle, kaikki valmiiksi kevättä odottamaan. Vatsa kurnii ja näköä haittaa, puutarhatyö on kropalle kovaa työtä. Onneksi soppa on jo aamulla valmiiksi tehty, kananmunat keitetty ja maailman helpoimmat sämpylät jo uunissa. Puutarhatyttöä voi vain palkita hyvällä ruoalla. Sitten taas töihin.
Garden girl´s nails are black and flaky from digging, cheeks red as freshly picked autumn apples. Now it´s time to prepare the garden for winter, cut the hedge and throw summer flowers away. Not feeling really sad, spring will arrive sooner than we think. Garden work makes you hungry but garden girl is clever. In the morning when everyone is sleeping she has prepared a warming soup, hundreds of boiled eggs and baked the dough for healthy rolls. Nothing warms her heart more than proper food. A small break and then back to work.
Garden Girl´s Soup
2 isoa perunaa/
big potaoes
3 porkkanaa/ carrots
1 sipuli/
onion
2 isoa palaa palsternakkaa/
2 big slices of parsnip
pala purjoa (valkoinen osa)/
a piece of leek (white part)
vettä/
water
2 tl bio kasvisliemipulveria/
2 tsp vegetable broth (powder)

1 rkl curry/
1 tblsp curry
1 tl jeeraa/
1 tsp jeera
1 prk kookosmaitoa/
1 can coconut milk
Put vegetables and water in a pot. Let cook gently until vegetables get soft. Blend with a mixer to a smooth soup. Add coconut milk and spices. Let cook for couple of minutes and put aside.
