It smells like X-Mas Cookies

Oikeastaan en ole mikään innostunut joululeipuri, teen jokavuotiset joulukeksit hymysuin, mutta siihen se jää. Selviän siitä ilman isompia hikipisaroita kun pikkuleipuri on auttamassa. Vaikka uuniluukku sulkeutuu usein puolenyön aikoihin ja viimeiset keksit on upotettu suklaaseen samoihin aikoihin on tästä tullut suloinen jokavuotinen adventtirituaali meidän tyttöjen kesken.

Mitä sinä leivot jouluksi vai leivotko ollenkaan?

I´m not the big christmas baker, but our every year "cookies-bakery-event" is something that I enjoy doing with my small assistant, trying to make them with love and perfection, even if the kitchen lights will not be turned off before midnight. These baking evenings have become a nice ritual for us girls, something I will be remembering in my rocking chair when I´m old and grey.

Christkindl Seefeld

Ehkä Seefeldin Christkindlmarkt näyttää pieneltä ja vaatimattomalta, mutta henki on välitön, lämmin ja leppoisa, ihmiset eivät tungeksi niin kuin isoimmilla markkinoilla. Ja mikä parasta, minun tarvitsee vain tepastella pari askelta kotoa markkinoille ;)) Voin jopa sanoa että Seefeldin Glühwein on paras ja isoin kaikista. Valkoinen enkeli on minun lemppari, joka oli eilen loppuunmyyty. Kuvissa markkina näyttää alastomalta, mikä puuttuu? No se valkoinen lumi. Silti on tunnelmallista ja kaikkeen se ihminen tottuu. Lunta ei vieläkään ole tiedossa.

Maybe Seefeld´s small christmas fair is not the fanciest and most glamorous fair but very cosy, familiar and relaxed compared to the bigger ones. And the best part is, it´s only a few steps from my home :)) I even dare to claim that Seefeld´s glühwein is one of the best and biggest. Something is missing and that´s the snow, the pictures look a bit naked, but you get used to everything. Still there´s no snow reported for the next days.
